3. DUBAI FRAME
The Dubai Frame was designed by the famous architect Fernando Donis, and its shape was inspired by the golden ratio, a representation of ideal architecture. More than 15,000 square metres of gold-coloured stainless steel wrap its facade, increasing its size and reflecting the lavishness typical of Dubai. The Dubai Frame was inspired by the concept of "connecting the past with the present and the future". The designer Fernando Donis wanted to create a structure that represents the progression of Dubai from a small fishing village to a modern metropolis. The Frame's structure is crafted from steel and adorned with gold-colored stainless steel cladding, a nod to Dubai's "City of Gold" identity. Its construction commenced in 2014, and was completed in 2017 after three years of dedication - marking a golden chapter in the history of Dubai Frame. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister, officiated the Dubai Frame's opening on January 1, 2018.
